Hello.

Energy prices are currently at record levels. For now, you'll be best off financially doing nothing and sticking with your current supplier. We will return to offering competitive green tariffs as soon as they become available.

By clicking on the button above, you agree to Big Clean Switch's terms and conditions. For information on how we use information you give us in order to generate an energy quote, see our privacy policy.

Why switch?

At Bettys & Taylors we’re continually striving to reduce our environmental impact, whether it’s through cutting our energy and water use, reducing waste or planting and protecting trees around the world. We buy all our electricity from renewable sources and have teamed up with the ‘Big Clean Switch’ campaign to help you (and your friends and family) take action, too, and switch to cheap, clean power.

What is clean energy?

When we talk about ‘clean energy’ we mean power generated from renewable sources – sun, wind, water (rivers, tides or wave power) and biofuels (usually gas released by rotting food and agricultural waste). Unlike electricity generated by burning fossil fuels (oil, coal and gas), clean energy has little impact in terms of climate change and air pollution.

How do clean tariffs work?

Picture the National Grid like a bucket full of water.* When you’re on a renewable tariff, your supplier promises to match the amount you take out of the bucket by putting the same amount of clean water in. The more clean water that goes into the bucket (and the less dirty water), the cleaner the bucket, and therefore the Grid, gets.
* In reality of course, water and electricity shouldn’t mix!

Raising Money For Your Branch Charity

Whenever anyone switches their energy through a third party like the Big Clean Switch, the supplier pays a commission. This doesn’t affect the price of the tariffs we offer, which are the same price as they are on suppliers’ own websites, and we use our share to help pay for the campaign, but Bettys & Taylors is giving its share – around £19 when you switch both your gas and electricity – to your relevant Branch charity.
